Does anyone know of experienced ICF contractors and subs (electrical and publumbing) in the Toronto, Ontario area in Canada? Most that I have identified so far are located either far north, east or west of the city. It would be great if you could share the name of your designer or architect as well.
Any referrals would be greatly appreciated. |

I would contact John Maguire of the ICF Pro Store. He has over 15 years of experience in ICF design and construction and can lead you in the right direction. His contact info is as follows:

concreteForever,
You might want to call Amvic ICF, they are a pretty large ICF manufacture that is headquartered in Toronto. I would ask them for their thoughts. Call Gary Brown at 877-470-9991 ext. 136 and he should be able to help. If you live in their back yard, it would be silly not to call them.

Thanks all. I am leaning towards a specific certified designing company who has ICF drafting experience and is permitted to stamp the full set of plans. The project is so small that I don't think that we would need more than that, so I'm nixing an architect per se.
Thanks renangle, for your suggestion about Amvic, they were not on my radar. Its great to see an ICF manufacturer HQed in Toronto. It was especially interesting to see that they had a flooring solution as well. |

How big is your project?
I'm at Yonge/407 doing a full ICF build (I'm the owner), and my ICF contractor is coming in from Barrie. |

The project is a quite small garage conversion 15x23x10 ft (WxDxH) with a second story (9 ft H) along with full attic roof trusses to be added. Here's the deal: I've got a few leads on form suppliers here and in the US. I am however primarily interested in turn-key quotes from a ICF contract either for the form work and one for lock up.
The project will be east of the 407/404 area. |
