I recently have heard about the EAGO toilet but I'm more familiar with toto...well actually I've only heard of that too, but I'm not sure which I should get. Please look at the specs here and let me know which is best. I got it from a website but their warehouse is close to my home http://alfitrade.com/eago/tb222.html

I love that it's dual flush, which is the first time I've even heard of that....please don't laugh....when did these come out? And it's modern looking like the style I want for my home.

The only Eago model tested (the Eago EL, # TB109M) in the CA testing program was a modest performer, at 300g/flush:

But it was right behind a The Toto Ultimate EL's 325g/flush.  But the two together doesn't hit the modestly priced American Standard Cadet's 750g/flush.

Don't know if there's independent test data on the TB222 you're looking at.   Eago's line seem like knockoffs of Toto  designs.  Hard to say if they have the same quality control where it matters without actually inspecting the goods close up.  I'd ask some installers familiar with both.  They could be great, but it's hard to say for sure.

Personaly I am a big fan of TOTO.  I ony have one toilet in my house so it had better be flawless, it is.

For adult use I would go for a Toto Drake  ADA elongated bowl sanigloss  1.6 gal flush.  If you are woried about saving water get the eco drake  1.28 gal flush, but it but not a dual flush.

If you have young kids the non ADA one is lower to the ground and easier for  kids.

Toto makes a dual flush, but it is  more expensive then the drake.  They make some more modern looking toilets also, but I don't have much experiance with them.

I installed a AS champion 4 for a relative because he insisted on it.  Actualy the plumber that was working on thier bathroom refused to install it because he hated them.   The long and the short of it is I had to return it twice to get one that worked.  The quality control sucked.  Once I got a good one it has been working fine.  I expect to open the box and install a toilet, not screw around and keep swaping out parts untill it is right.

Cheers
