Hi - I am building an off grid SIP/ICF home for a client. He is looking at North Coast Power, specifically their UtilityFree brand of assembled stand alone PV systems. It includes Panels, batteries, inverter/charge etc etc.  Plug and play supposedly.  Looking through their website, I find limited technical info about what is actually "inside" these systems.  Best I can tell is "Siemens PV Panels" and Trace Inverter/Charger. That's it.  I'm skeptical.

Anyone heard of this outfit and/or know of customer satisfaction (or not) levels?
One "curious" little detail I see in the fine print is that the charts show expected daily AC load, location (solar insulation) and recommended array size.  There is no information of battery amp hours, number of batteries or other pertinent info.  Further, it says the recommended array size will provide 50% of the AC requirement.  I don't think my client saw that part.   All a bit curious to me.  Before crying wolf to my client, it would be nice to have collaborating opinions.

Or am I reading this whole site wrong????
